Obtaining and Record Keeping

Every General Medical Practice and Registered Pharmacy should be aware that the Home Office states it is bad practice not to record the receipt and record the destruction of prescribed schedule 2 controlled drugs returned to them by their patients.

Anyone in lawful receipt of schedule 2 controlled drugs returns is strongly advised to operate a register as a record of each return and their destruction. Such a register is available from Surelines.
