New Additions to Schedule 2

Two new drugs have been added to the Schedule 2 Controlled Drugs list from 28th March 2011. The new drugs are Amineptine and tapentadol.

Any private prescriptions dispensed for Amineptine (or its imported proprietary product Survector) and Tapentadol (or the proprietary product Palexia), should be submitted to NHS Prescription Services for controlled drug monitoring purposes.
